Prime City Centre Location
The Green boasts a prime City Centre location, adjacent to St. Stephen’s Green Park right in the centre of Dublin City. The hotel’s central location means that all of Dublin City Centre is within walking distance or easy commute. All of Dublin’s top cultural attractions, landmarks and main central districts are within walking distance such as St.Stephen’s Green Park, the Gaiety Theatre, Grafton Street, the city’s premiere shopping district and Dublin’s main business districts including the IFSC and Grand Canal dock, meaning its the perfect base for business or leisure stays.
From Dublin International Airport
The Green is located 16kms from Dublin International Airport (DUB) and is easily accessible by taxi, car or bus. There are taxis available 24/7 outside the main door of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. A trip from the airport to the Green costs approximately €30.00 depending on traffic. Our reception team can call you a taxi to the airport on your departure from the Green.
Travelling from Dublin Airport by car takes approximately 30 minutes, depending on the time of travel. There are several routes you can take into the city centre to the Green. We suggest you use Google maps to assist you on the best route at your time of travel.

The Airport is also accessible via bus. The Dublin Express Bus Route 784 links the south side of Dublin City with Dublin Airport. There is a stop located at Harcourt Luas Stop which is adjacent to the The Green Hotel. The bus journey from the city centre to Dublin Airport takes between 30-45 minutes. Single tickets cost €7 while return tickets can be purchased for €8.
Main Dublin City Train Stations
The Green is located 20 minutes’ walk from Pearse Street, offering DART services across Dublin and further out of the city. Connolly station, Dublin’s largest rail station, is a 13 min taxi ride from the hotel, while Heuston Station, serving the west and south Irish rail network, is a 16 minute taxi journey from the Green.
Dublin Ferry Terminal
Dublin Port is located 7km from the hotel, approximately 12–15-minute journey by car or taxi. Guests who are driving to The Green can park at The Royal College of Surgeons Car Park which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel and is our partner car park for The Green Hotel.

Bus Services
The Green is located right in the city centre of Dublin and there is a number of bus routes which pass by the hotel. Our reception team would be delighted to assist you on which bus is most suitable for your journey. Watch out for the yellow bus sign and download the Dublin Bus app for your convenient travelling in the city.
Dublin Bikes
Dublin Bike Station, St. Stephen’s Green South, is located beside the hotel with a number of bikes available for rent to explore the city.
Luas Tram Services
The LUAS Green line passes the hotel at the St. Stephen’s Green stop which is adjacent to the Green Hotel. The Green line services destinations such as Ranelagh, Dundrum Town Centre and Sandyford Business Park. Vist LUAS timetable for more information on their services.
Car Hire
There are plenty of car hire companies located at Dublin Airport and in Dublin City Centre for guests who wish to explore further out of the city during their stay. We recommend checking out Carhire.ie, Europcar and Budget.ie to name but a few. Guests can park at our partner car park , The Royal College of Surgeons which is a two minute walk from the hotel and is available at a daily guest rate.
Guest Car Park
The Q-Park Stephen’s Green also known as the Royal College of Surgeons car park, is conveniently located a 2 minute walk from our hotel. There is also street parking available adjacent to the hotel but we would recommend guests our secure car park at The Royal College of Surgeons.
Guests can also use the space in front of the hotel to stop and briefly drop bags into the lobby which is our designated drop off zone.The car park is located by heading northwest on Harcourt Street towards St Stephens’s Green and continue straight down before turning left onto York Street then turn right onto Mercer Street Lower. Take the 1st right and the car park will be on your left. The overnight rate is from 7pm-8am and costs €14. The 24 hour rate costs €27.
